Throughout the summer, numerous plays, dance and musical performances, workshops and sporting events will give life to the City of Brno. The second edition of Festival Uprostřed is coming this weekend, and it offers various activities, events and performances at multiple locations in Brno.

The festival provides residents of Brno with an opportunity to relax and unwind while having fun and learning new skills.

Festival Uprostřed also aims to keep the city vibrant throughout the summer season, offering the people of Brno some culture and fun during the months of vacation to come.

But Festival Uprostřed is not just about culture and performances. Generating interaction between people from different demographics is another purpose of the festival. It is mainly about connecting people regardless of age or cultural tastes. This was also true of the creation of its programme – for this purpose, various cultural institutions, clubs and theatres have been combined, according to Kateřina Dobešová from Brno City Hall.

The festival, which was organised by the mayor of Brno and Brno-střed Town Hall, caters to a diverse audience with events and activities which will take place at various locations in Brno. Residents will come across the different attractions of the festival while walking around town.

On Friday June 1 at 5pm, the festival will start with a warm-up social event at náměstí Svobody where attendees can enjoy a ‘chill’ day in a summer beach bar atmosphere created by the organisers. Also, people will be able to take in some music and dance performances while enjoying good food and drinks.

Festival Uprostřed will last until September 30. Be sure to catch the opening of this exciting festival this Friday and follow the events and activities offered by Festival Uprostřed throughout the summer.
