Brno, Jun 17 (BD) – In the future, the planned “CD Palace” will house all Brno Municipal offices. “People will no longer have to travel among more than fifteen contemporary municipal offices. They will find everything in one place,” the official website of the City of Brno reads.

The building will be located in the currently free space between the streets Benešova and Koliště near “Hotel Grand” bus station, behind “Morava” palace.
As part of the project, 517 parking spaces will be created in an underground car park. These will serve the municipal office visitors and people who need to park in the city center.

The estimated investment cost of the new building is 1.5 billion Czech crowns. “If this intention is approved by the city government representatives, the preparation of the necessary contracts will take place in the summer months,” said Richard Mrázek, Deputy Mayor for Investment.
To cover part of the costs, the investment plan proposes selling some of the existing municipal office buildings. However, as the official website of the City of Brno stresses, the potential sale does not concern New Town Hall with its historical halls.
