On the weekend of June 23-24, Kraví hora will be ‘flooded’ with fish and seafood specialities from leading Czech restaurants, for the biggest open-air seafood festival in the country. Photo credit: Slavnosti moře

Get ready to treat your tastebuds: salmon fillet grilled on wood shavings from a Jack Daniels whiskey barrel; calamari and cod burger with capers; grilled tuna with a mild Korean chilli dressing and jasmine rice; or grilled calamari filled with spinach.

As in previous years, restaurants specializing in seafood, such as Bistro Ocean48, TEFITI, Garnet, Kaizen, Konoha, Správné místo, Hotel Žabčice, Hnízdo and others, will provide a culinary experience for visitors.

The “Slavnosti moře” festival will also feature a great selection of wines, coffee, ice cream and other delicacies, while the accompanying latin music will create a real seaside atmosphere. This year, the organizers are also preparing a special program for kids in cooperation with Bruno Family Park, Decathlon, and Starez Sport.

Admission is free, and individual dishes will cost around 130 CZK. Payments will be made using special festival chip cards, which can be purchased at all Ocean48 branches or at the festival venue (CZK 20).

Visitors don’t need to worry about the transport restrictions on the Údolní Street as “there will be a replacement transport service bringing visitors to the event as quickly and comfortably as possible,” said festival director Martin Baráček.
