If you’re in the mood for a summer festival, head to the outskirts of the city this weekend. The second festival of small breweries, “Žebětínský festival minipivovarů”, will take place in Brno-Žebětín, and Kamenná čtvrť will host the “Kamenka Open” festival. Photo: Pexels
On June 23, a tent with around 800 seats will open in Žebětín, to enjoy beer, grill and music. There will be more than 30 beers to choose from, from local breweries such as Domácí pivovar u Jelínků, Žebětínský minipivovar Richard, pivovar Kout na Šumavě, Minipivovar Popelín, Minipivovar Urban, and Líšeňský pivovar.
The festival program kicks off at noon and lasts until midnight, and features concerts, presentations from breweries, and competitions (including the popular beer-downing competition). You can get more info & tickets online here.
If you prefer a natural setting, Kamenná čtvrť neighbourhood, the venue for the Kamenka Open music festival, could be your best option this weekend.
From June 22 to 24, concerts, DJs, theater performances, circus workshops and food can all be found in the meadow. Special gastro guests will be Las Tres Gatas (Comida mexicana) and Traveler pizza italiana (EAC). Find more info on the event page on Facebook. Admission is free.
