The “Brno Musical Marathon”, or “Maraton Hudby Brno”, is a vibrant multi-genre festival. In the last two years the festival has become one of the biggest summer music festivals in Brno and it has something for everyone.
The festival offers seven different events:
New circus: 9-12/8 2018
Areál Hněvkovského, Komárov, from 7 pm
Dangerous stunts, awesome juggling, breathtaking performances – these are the main attractions designed to raise your adrenaline. We recommend it for children from 6 years of age.
Jazz: 10/8 2018
Sono Center, from 7.30 pm
Sono Center will host a jazz night with the promising Brno saxophonist Marek Kotača and his band, alongside Kenny Garrett from the USA and Israeli pianist Yaron Herman.
Rock: 10-12/8 2018
Fléda, Špilberk Castle, Sono Centrum
The first of the rock nights will be on Friday in Fléda, where the legendary English punk band The Adicts will present their new album. Also performing will be Czech bands The Fialky and HONEM.
On Saturday, on the terrace of Špilberk Castle, you can enjoy a concert by the iconic hip-hop group Chaozz and rapper Tafrob. At the same time in Sono Club the Dutch Led Zeppelin tribute band PHYSICAL GRAFFITI will be playing.
Don’t miss Sunday evening at Špilberk Castle, where the successful American hip-hop-hard rock band Dog Eat Dog will perform, followed by the American hardcore band Evergreen Terrace and local punk rockers Rabies.

On the streets of the city center you will hear the sound of unexpected music. Musicians will be playing in many surprising places in the center…
Festival on the pavement and the grass (Festival na prknech dlažbě i trávě): 10-12/8 2018
Courtyard of the Old Town Hall, the former ward on Cejl, Moravské náměstí
The opening of the festival will take place in the courtyard of the Old Town Hall and Moravské náměstí. You can expect acrobats, magicians, clowns, fire shows, face painting, and more. This event promises fun for the whole family.
