Brno, Aug 16 (BD) — Brno National Theater Ballet will continue this summer’s successful series of open-air performances, “Summer Ballet Cocktail”, in the historic courtyard of Špilberk Castle. The ballet and opera ensembles promise to “symbolically besiege the Castle of Špilberk,” said Barbora Hniličková from the Marketing and PR department of Ballet.

The ballet has prepared three new choreographic arrangements by soloist Martin Svobodník, demi-soloist Markéta Pimek Habalová, and artistic director Mário Radačovský, for the 50th anniversary of the events of 1968 (The Prague Spring and the subsequent occupation of Czechoslovakia by the Soviet Union, editor’s note).

The four-day-long ballet feast will take place from August 31 to September 3, 2018 in the courtyard of Špilberk Castle. Hniličková promises the “Summer Ballet Cocktail” to be a special “teaser to the 2018/2019 season, which will be full of excellent shows.”

The tickets are available also online on the official website of NdB.
