Brno, Aug 25 (BD) – The seats will be sold to the highest bidder. “The minimum bid is CZK 500. We will install the signs with a patron’s name or with a message on the adopted seats,” the CEO of Brno Transport Company Miloš Havránek said. The raised money will be used for a construction of a historical tram stop sign replica at Moravské náměstí.
The first tram line in Brno ran 149 years ago. Brno Transport Company (DPMB) prepares a series of events to celebrate the 150th anniversary next year. In preparation for the next year’s anniversary, several events are scheduled for this year. For example, people can contribute to the construction of a historical tram stop sign by adopting a seat in the “Golden Tram” or by sending in historical photographs, which will be published on the information portal www.projekt150.cz.
