Brno, Sep 18 (BD) – This was Ondra’s second silver medal in Innsbruck. The previous Sunday, September 9, he came second in the Man Lead discipline, and this Sunday he took silver in the Combined Olympic discipline.

Ondra started in all championship disciplines this year: bouldering, speed climbing, and the so-called “combined” discipline. The combined competition has been accepted as a new discipline for the Olympics in Tokyo 2020.

Adam Ondra is a 25-year old native of Brno, and is recognized as one of the top professional rock climbers in the world. Ondra went into the World Climbing Championships in Innsbruck (Sept 6-16) as the reigning champion in lead-climbing and previous runner-up in bouldering.
