Brno, Sep 19 (BD) – European Mobility Week is the largest Europe-wide awareness-raising campaign about sustainable urban mobility, and culminates with a car-free day in some European cities.

Many urban traffic-related events are taking place in Brno this week. For example, on Wednesday and Thursday people can take advantage of an Open Day at the central dispatching center of the South Moravia Integrated Transport System on Nové Sady Street at 3:30 PM. There they can witness the transport control system for the whole South Moravian Region in action.

The red bike racks are mobile, and after the event ends on September 22, the city will find new suitable locations for them. From the beginning of the week, one rack will be standing in front of Letmo shopping mall at the Main Railway Station, and the second one in front of the Starobrno brewery in Mendlovo náměstí.
