The first Pisárky tram depot was built in 1870, a year after the launch of the horse tram on the streets of Brno, but back then it was just horse stables and a wooden shed for wagons and feedstocks. Brno, Sep 21 (BD) – The modernization project includes a new roof, more parking spaces for trams, a daily treatment and cleaning facility hall, and a new tram wash station.

The project was officially launched with a tap on the foundation stone on Wednesday September 19. The work is expected to last two years and cost more than CZK 390 million.
The first stage of modernization was launched by the Brno Transport Company (DPMB) in 2015. The space for tracks was enlarged by 560 meters, and the investment simplified the day-to-day operation of the whole area. In the future, DPMB is planning the third stage of the modernization, which will include the branching of the track towards the Brno Exhibition Center and a new terminus loop.
