David Coria is an international star of Flamenco. Born in Sevilla in 1983, he was selected to join the Spanish National Ballet in 2001, aged just 18. He has collaborated with many of the biggest stars of the art form, has been recognised with awards in many countries, and is also an acclaimed choreographer. Ana Morales, born in Barcelona in 1982, is a frequent collaborator with Coria, a former soloist with the Andalusia Flamenco Ballet, and herself the recipient of numerous prizes and awards.

Coria and Morales will be performing in the Czech Republic for the first time, bringing their show “Palabra y Gesto” (“word and gesture”) to the Semilasso Concert Hall as part of a wider tour of the country. The show will come in three parts, with each part showcasing different dance styles from the stars’ repertoire, as well as passages from the performance Espiral. Musical accompaniment will be provided by Jesús Torres, a guitarist and composer from Biscaya in Northern Spain who has been a leading figure in the Spanish Flamenco guitar scene for over 30 years.
The concert is organized by Music Factory s.r.o. A spokesman for the company told Brno Daily why the tour is coming to Brno: “It is our first time in the Czech Republic and we are touring different parts of the country. We know that flamenco is popular in Brno thanks to the flamenco festival that takes place every year.”
The concert will take place on December 8th at Semilasso Concert Hall. Tickets are available from Ticketstream, Ticketportal, Tickeart, Sms Ticket, and GoOut.cz.
