As the municipal elections are fast approaching (Oct. 5-6), candidates for Mayor of Brno (or their English speaking representatives) will meet for a debate with students and pupils of the International School of Brno in Vinohrady (map). Photo credit: Pixabay.
The debate will be held on October 3 at the ISB School Hall on Čejkovická from 10 am. “The candidates for Brno City Hall will face the inquisitive questions of students and pupils from twenty countries, of course in English, to show the huge international potential of Brno,” the school announced on its Facebook profile last Friday.
Candidates from seven different political parties and groupings will take part in the debate: Petr Hladík (KDU-ČSL), Jaroslav Kacer (Smart Moravská Metropole), Markéta Gregorová (Piráti), David Grund (ODS), Pavel Staněk (ANO), Jan Perla (Zelení), and Petr Kalousek (Žít Brno). Some of the candidates will be replaced by representatives who can debate more comfortably in English.
The debate is open to public.
