On November 24, a historical procession commemorating the arrival of Napoleon’s armies in Brno to prepare for the Battle of Austerlitz will bring the atmosphere of the 19th century back to the city. The parade will feature Napoleon accompanied by his soldiers on horseback marching through the city centre to the sounds of battle drums.

Spectators will have the chance to hear the music and sample the authentic food of the period. A large projection screen at Biskupský dvůr will show what Brno looked like in 1805.

The program of the event will also include performances from swordsmen as well as various performances by the Exulis theatre group, including the symbolic handover of the keys of the city, a meeting between Napoleon and citizens on the balcony of the courtyard, “video mapping”, and a prayer for victims, according to the official program of the event.
