Brno, Nov 6 (BD) – The parts of the building which the Brno National Theater ensemble needs in order to operate received their final building certification last week. Work on the other parts of the building will continue throughout the next year.
“The renovation work is still ongoing, so the contractor will continue to work on the rest of the theatre in the coming months. The technical difficulties that accompanied the renovation were significant, so the work took longer and was more complicated,” said Richard Mrázek, Deputy Mayor of Brno for Investment, explaining the expected higher budget for the renovation work. The final cost will be known when the renovation is complete.

The theatre will reopen on November 17th with a performance of Janacek’s opera “The Cunning Little Vixen”.
