Brno, Dec 7 (BD) – Thousands of counterfeit mobile phones and accessories were seized by CTIA staff on Wednesday, December 5, in four shops in Brno, as first reported by the Czech television channel TV Nova.
“The case was reported by a customer who bought a smartphone at a store in Brno. At home, however, he found out that the phone was a fake produced somewhere in Hungary,” according to TV Nova.
A customer who unintentionally buys a counterfeit can request a replacement or refund. Suspicious sales can be reported to the CTIA via their website which is available in Czech and English.
