Brno, Dec 20 (BD) – “Its mother Fiona is guarding it so closely that the zoo staff know nothing more than that the cub was born”, the Zoo announced today.

The Jaguarundi is a small wild cat. “The Jaguarundi are, uncommonly for cats, very ‘talkative’. They communicate with a wide range of sounds, from purring and spluttering through to whistling and chirping almost like birds,” explained Dorota Gremlicová, the curator of the Mammalian Zoo in Brno.

“They are active throughout the day and hunt vertebrates up to the size of armadillos, lizards, and snakes, and they also occasionally fish,” Gremlicová added.
