Brno, Feb 9 (BD) – In the sixth week of 2019, figures show an increase of 6% in the number of cases of influenza reported, from 1,918 per 100,000 people at the end of week five, to 2,034 per 100,000 a week later. The highest incidence was recorded in Brno-Centre, where the rate was 2,218 per 100,000. The largest increase was among working-age adults, senior citizens, and pre-school children. The figures are based on reports from 186 General Practitioners for adults and 106 General Practitioners for children across the South Moravian Region, who together have almost 427,000 patients.
