Deutsche Telekom Services Europe Czech Republic has been growing in Brno since October 2016. Stability, high quality, and innovation are the key characteristics of the company. Managing Director Sergei Holmeckis gives us an overview of the company and sets out his expectations for the future:

Sergei, what do you think is unique about DTSE CZ?

The most interesting thing about our company is that we are ambidextrous in our daily operations. We are an extremely agile, flexible and young organisation, happy to experiment and make things happen. Our colleagues are always coming up with incredibly creative and unusual ideas regarding operations and internal improvements. On the other hand, we are part of a truly global company, Deutsche Telekom AG, with its headquarters in Germany, operating across the globe with over 200,000 employees. We are enjoying all the diversity, security and global reach of being such a big player… and this is our unique positioning.

Why did you decide to open a new branch in Brno?

We strongly believe that Brno is a superb site, with regards to the geographic location, stability, and talented people who are looking for interesting and challenging opportunities. Being in the heart of Europe and hosting a variety of universities, we see innovative and creative people. This is the future.

How would you describe the past year?

DTSE CZ grew by more than 100% in 2018; we have implemented policies and initiatives that ensure that DTSE CZ offers a modern and flexible workplace, allowing our staff to combine a private life with exciting career opportunities, and plenty of opportunities to grow personally and professionally.

Can you name some of the most interesting projects in DTSE CZ?

First of all, I would like to mention that we have created a Project Management office, ready to support all new projects with training and tools. From implementing a new tool for business trips across Europe to the implementation of the Learning HUB, 2018 was a great success. Additionally, we have run some very interesting projects in the field of Data Analysis, using Celonis as a new tool and introducing various strategic initiatives.

What do you expect from 2019?

DTSE CZ is in the process of extending customer-centric services. I plan to focus on getting closer to our target of becoming the Center of Excellence for Finance and Data Analytics services for Deutsche Telekom across the whole of Europe. I expect and will do everything in my power to ensure that our people are happy with us.
