On February 24, BEST Divadlo return to Kabinet Muz with their latest production, “Wenceslas Square”, an ensemble comedy by Larry Shue.

Brno, Feb 16 (BD) – Later this month, a new English-language play will open at Kabinet Muz, the latest production from the BEST Divadlo theatre company. This time, the company will be performing Larry Shue’s “Wenceslas Square”, a comedy set amid the historic events of the Prague Spring and the years that followed.

“A gentle reminder of how artists make it through difficult times by ‘keeping their heads down.'”

The play follows the story of an American theatre professor living in Prague in 1968 and working on a book about the city’s art scene. According to the event’s Facebook page, the play “pokes fun at reversals of political fortune and is a gentle reminder of how artists make it through difficult times by ‘keeping their heads down.’”

The show on February 24 is the first of three dates, with more set to be announced soon. It is directed by Ray Biru and Filip Daňhel.

Tickets will cost CZK 250, or CZK 125 for students and seniors. Tickets can be reserved by emailing bestdivadlo@gmail.com.
