On Sunday 7th April, B.E.S.T. Divadlo (Brno English Speaking Theater) will stage its final performance of Wenceslas Square, a captivating comedy that takes the audience on a trip through Czechoslovakia’s theatre history during the Russian occupation.Photo: Rebeka Hrubšová.
Brno, Apr 5 (BD) – The play has been resonating particularly with Czechs and Slovaks, who will see a reminder of how life and freedom of thought was challenged for previous generations through the prism of an American professor’s eyes, but also offers great entertainment for expats.
If you are interested in participating in any way (playing, directing, organizing), B.E.S.T. Divaldo will be holding auditions for next season’s shows:
- “The Actor’s Nightmare” and “The Real Inspector Hound”, two comic one-act plays that will kick-off the 2019-20 season.
- Vaclav Havel’s “Largo Desolato“, which will be performed around the 30th anniversary of the Velvet Revolution.
Auditions are open to the public without restrictions.
