Brno, May 17 (BD) – In cooperation with the Moravian Gallery (Moravská galerie), the exhibition is commemorating Masaryk University’s centennial. The opening was attended by Mayor Markéta Vaňková, at the Governor’s Palace (Místodržitelský palác).
The exhibition showcases a blend between the artistic style of the Moravian Gallery, and Masaryk University’s scientific and professional approach. As an influential university, the exhibition intends to portray the university’s atmosphere as an institution with an important role in society and its development.
Visitors can expect a walk through the university’s history, and will be able to see the insignia of previous and current rectors and faculty deans. One of the key parts of the exhibition is the collection of theses, written by alumni of Masaryk University.
The exhibition is a part of the celebrations for Masaryk University’s centennial, with other events for commemorating the university. Among them are the MUNIFESTO film festival starting today (May 17), the MUNI 100 Festival and MUNI Homecoming, which will both take place in June.
