Brno, Aug 4 (BD) – Now the Grand Prix is behind us, you might feel like going back to your relaxed summer laziness and… who are we kidding, there is too much to do in Brno! A night tour of the Ossuary, an international music festival, Brno’s Music Marathon, traditional folk dances, rock music and much more, all happening this week in Brno!

We mentioned it last Sunday, and from this Monday you can enjoy it for the whole week. The International Guitar Festival is here, with incredible performers ready to enchant you. You can find more information and the full program on the festival’s Facebook page

Want to combine your passion for dancing and your love of modern architecture? On Monday evening you can join a rockabilly dance party in the garden of Villa Tugendhat, and even get some free dance lessons. The dancing starts at 6pm; you can book your ticket and find more information on the Facebook page of the event.

What about a night tour of a South Moravian castle? And what if your guides were historical performers and fencing experts? You can have all of this on Wednesday evening at Bìtov Castle, an hour and a half from Brno. The tours start at 7pm and 8.30pm. You can find more information (in Czech) on the website of the castle.

To be or not to be… come and enjoy classical Shakespearean theater in English at the open-air summer stage at Spilberk Castle. On Thursday at 8:30pm you can see Shakespeare’s Othello being performed in English at the Špilberk Castle! Tickets start from CZK 430 – if you buy one, you get the second one for free and students get a 50% discount. You can find more information on the Facebook event

From Thursday until Sunday, music will invade the city for the Brno Music Marathon! Stages will be located around the city for three days of continuous live music! British electronic music star Jon Hopkins will be playing on Friday. You can find a list of the locations and the full program on the official Facebook page.

Halloween is three months away, but don’t miss the chance to visit Brno Ossuary at Night and geet spooked! Tours start at 7pm until 10.30pm and last 30 minutes, you can book your ticket and find more information here.

Is there a better combination than charming castles and rock music? Hrady CZ [Castles CZ] is a music and culture festival that visits famous Czech Castles, and on Friday it will visit Veveří Castle. You can find more information (in Czech) on the Facebook event or on the website of the festival.
