Brno, Aug 15 (BD) – “The police officers took the wallet to the police station, where they put all the money on the table and counted it thoroughly, to a total amount of CZK 57,499, in both euros and crowns,” said Brno City Police spokesman Pavel Šoba. Personal documents and payment cards in the wallet helped them identify and contact the owner, who came to the station to pick up the money. He was able to give a detailed description of the wallet and its contents, and correctly indicated where he had lost it. “The officers also reported that the fortunate man wanted to meet the honest citizen,” according to Šoba.
Police did not share any further details of the case.
