On July 16, the Railway Infrastructure Administration (SŽDC) will begin the renovation of two large railway bridges over Hybešová and Křídlovická streets.
Brno, Jul 3 (BD) – Repairs on the bridges over Hybešova and Křídlovická streets will last five months and are expected to cost the Railway Infrastructure Administration CZK 343 million. As a result of the works, platforms five and six at the main railway station will be completely closed, where connections from Jihlava, Střelice, Zastávka u Brna and Moravské Bránice arrive. However, when the works are complete, the passengers won’t be able to relax yet. Exactly the opposite.
From December 8, Brno central station will be closed for an extended period. At the main railway station, SŽDC will carry out a full renovation of security equipment and technology. As a result, long-distance services will run through the “Dolní nádraží” [Lower station]. These works are scheduled to limit services to the central station for one year.
