Classical music lovers and passers-by can look forward to a unique street concert in the city center. Krashna Musika (“beautiful music”) is the student orchestra and choir of the Technical University in the Dutch city of Delft. This 110-piece orchestra and choir will visit us as part of their summer tour on the occasion of their 50th anniversary. As well as Brno, they will also visit Bratislava and Vienna. The concerts are free of charge in all cities, including Brno. The orchestra will perform in Jakubské náměstí on Wednesday, July 11 at 3 pm.

“We had some concerts in Prague a few years ago and we enjoyed the wonderful atmosphere. That is why we are looking forward to the UPROSTŘED Festival in Brno! And we are planning a great program for you – our choir, accompanied by an orchestra, will sing Mass id B-flat, op. 77 by Johann Nepomuk Hummel and the orchestra will also play the second symphony from Rachmaninov,” said Marit Dieters of Krashna Musik.

The multi-genre UPROSTŘED Festival, organised by Brno-střed Town Hall for the second year, offers a varied program including musical productions, workshops, theater performances, dancing, sports and multimedia events.
