Over 68 coffee houses in Brno are organizing special events for the city’s coffee lovers in a week-long celebration of one of the most popular drinks in the world. Coffee Week is coming back to Brno for the 8th year. The festival will start on October 1st, also known to coffee lovers as “International Coffee Day”, and will celebrate coffee for a whole week.
Hundreds of fun, crazy, intellectual, caffeine-powered events in cafés will take place within eight days in the city. See the program of the festival, which is also available in English.
During Coffee Week, visitors will have the opportunity to visit the two-day long Coffee Market in the courtyard of the Old Town Hall, where they can sample and buy selected roasted coffee, attend workshops and lectures to learn about coffee and traditional and alternative methods of preparation under the supervision of coffee experts, enjoy entertaining barista competitions, and… try as many different types of coffee as they can manage.
The largest coffee festival in the Czech Republic aims to support coffee culture, general coffee education, and the cultivation of coffee, by opening up the world of coffee to the public.
