1,651 companies from 32 countries around the world have come to the 60th International Engineering Fair in Brno this year. The fair looks back at the engineering legends of the Czech industrial past and, most importantly, gives a glimpse of the future of technology. Visitors can witness the presentation of the fourth industrial revolution in large companies and see that robots are increasingly able to take over people’s work.

The exhibition in Pavilion A features unique interwar cars with aerodynamic designs – the Aero 50 Dynamik and Aero 750 Sport Coupé by designers Josef Sodomka and Oldřich Uhlík. They are the only ones in the world! Another attraction of the fair will be the “Kuka” industrial robot that will sculpt Otakar Španiel’s 1928 statue of Czechoslovak President Masaryk in front of spectators. Visitors can also look forward to the exhibition of chocolate production technologies.

Thanks to the “Brno Fair City” project, the trade fair visitors get special offers at Brno’s restaurants, bars, clubs, and other places as a part of the price of their fair ticket. Photo Credit: BVV.

The fair features a cutting-edge program of conferences, seminars and workshops on current technical, business and economic topics.

The fair is open from 1 to 5 October. From Monday to Thursday it will run from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm, on Friday, October 5, only until 4:00 pm. Tickets cost 220 CZK online, or 270 CZK at the venue.
