The next instalment of Velvet Comedy will land in Brno on November 14th. This time, the headliner is Irish comedian Martin Angolo. A veteran of the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and BBC Radio, the Dubliner’s style is described as “a mix of one-liners and silly observations”.
He was described by Irish culture magazine Totally Dublin as “one of the city’s most exciting emerging comics”, and by Krank.ie as “one to watch out for”, due to his sharp wit and on-stage energy.
Support will come from Sean Ríordáin, an Irish-American comedian and rapper from New Jersey, who has performed comedy in Prague, Barcelona, Guadalajara in Mexico, and Prague again, where he also works as a teacher.
The event will start at 20h. Tickets cost 150 CZK, and include a beer or glass of wine.
