Brno, July 17 (BD) – After months of rescheduling, this Monday is the day when the building full of groceries entries into public service, at last. “At 11 AM, the representatives of the City of Brno will cut the ribbon and the marketplace will experience its trial operation,” states the manager Pavel Bartošek.
The new marketplace had been under reconstruction since 2015, preparing to expose its fruitful stands mid of June 2017. It took another month to get things done. The delay was caused by hidden damages in building- mainly support columns. Even the owners of stands had to deal with several inconveniences. “We were delivered wrong size of stand constructions, so the anchorages couldn’t fit,” explained the manager.
The situation is now predominantly under control. During the last weekend, all stand owners and vendors were getting ready. Although the today’s grand opening happens at 11 AM, the marketplace will be usually open from 7 AM until 10 PM. Vendors can choose when they decide to welcome excited customers, since for some, such as wine bar, there is no need to open early in the morning. On the other hand, bakery won’t be at your service in the late evening. To fully experience the new pulsing marketplace, all stands are obliged to be open until 10:30 AM.
