Brno, September 3 (BD) – Illegal hazard is on the decline in Brno. A recent investigation conducted by the Anti-Corruption Endowment Fund (NFPK) has proved the declining trend.
A new website www.mapa-hazardu.cz, where the public can report its findings also helps to fight against gambling.
The survey results were presented by Janusz Konieczny of the NFPK and Deputy Mayor Matěj Hollan on Thursday at a press conference.
The Fund survey analyzed 63 places in Brno which had been declared as sites of illegal gambling in the past.
28 of them continue to operate gambling without legal permission of the Ministry of Finance, while other 35 illegal sites have been closed.
At the end of 2013 there were 3000 gaming machines registered with the Ministry of Finance in Brno.
As of July 7, 2017, there were only 16 games or casinos with a total of 52 gaming machines, official city press release summarizes.
