The city of Brno is populated by people with links across the globe. Babylonfest brings the Brno community together for fun-filled days of art, music, and dance while also learning a little more about the rich cultural diversity that exists in our city.
The fest starts today at 5 PM with a tree planting ceremony at Luzanky. During the event, you can taste national dishes from Syria, Greece, Russia and Hungary and enjoy exciting ethnic music by the Kumbalo music group.
Babylonfest brings together cultures, ideas and people. Explore the minorities living in Brno at an open storytelling workshop at Sál B. Bakala on Wednesday September, 13 from 5 PM – 7:30 PM.
Music bring people together. Attend the charity open air concert at Moravské náměstí on Thursday, September 14. The Čankišou band is successful with their impressive and powerful ethno-rock sound; come, it will be fun.

For the first time, a special concert will be held at the yard of the Museum of Applied Arts this Friday. Kodály Kórus Debrecen, a Hungarian choir, will perform.

Love to share your culture through music and dance? On Saturday, the main day of the festival, there will be a parade, concerts, dance performances and traditional cuisine tasting at Moravské náměstí.
Time and place: 1 PM – 5 PM at Moravské náměstí
The festival is organized by the Committee for National Minorities of Brno in cooperation with the organizations of national minorities and TIC BRNO. The festival has grown over time to become one of the most successful multicultural festivals in the Czech Republic. This year, it celebrates its 10th anniversary.
