On Tuesday September 26, SVČ Lužánky [Center of Leisure at Lužánky park] hosts annual Open-er 67 – Taste The Volunteering With All The Senses organized by DC 67 volunteer center in cooperation with other local non-profit organizations and EVS volunteers.
Dobrovolnické Centrum 67 (DC 67) is Brno volunteer center that interlinks young voluntary work adepts with organizations and informal groups. DC 67 is a special project because it supports young people in developing their own projects.
The lively event that articulates culture with the art of volunteering promises an enriching and very well spent afternoon.
During the event, participants can combine the chance to learn about the local volunteering organizations, while engaging in workshops and activities.
The Open-er 67 is the opportunity to gather volunteers and artists in a multicultural event, but also to encourage people to join one of the many local non-profit organizations.
The last Open-er was “the perfect chance to learn more about foreign languages and cultures, to get informed about non-profit organizations and their varied offer of volunteering in the city and to enjoy appealing exhibitions and concerts,” the organizer of the event, Anna Vitešníková explained.
The program of Taste The Volunteering With All The Senses promises to dancing bugs, photo lovers and story addicts a very exciting experience.
The event starts at 17:30 with the photography exhibition “One year EVS”, and will evolve to the very interesting “Live Library” where instead of books, participants can borrow people and their stories. It’s perfect to improve foreign language skills.
The bands Jeteliček and Later Kumbalu will put everyone tapping their feet starting from 19.00. We recommend you to come and dance along! Open-er DC 67 closes at 22:30 with the an intriguing documentary.
DC 67 promotes weekly evening programs at SVČ Lužánky such as presentations of local and worldwide volunteer offers, documentary projections followed by discussions, presentations about alternative lifestyle and photography exhibitions openings.
The entrance and the participation in all activities will be free but you are welcome to pay as much as you want.
