Pollution is a major problem in big cities, including Brno.
This Saturday, the Czech campaign Uklid’me svět, uklid’me Česko [Let’s Clean Up the World, Let’s Clean Up The Czech Republic] will gather Brno’s citizens to work together for a common goal – make the city cleaner than it already is.
The initiative encourages people to improve health habits, get in closer contact with nature, and do good for the environment.
The event Podzimní Úklid [Autumn cleaning] brings together citizens, local companies, municipalities, local associations, and schools.
“Companies in this way demonstrate not only their social responsibility, but also their interest in the place where they operate and local communities,” the event organizer, Radek Janoušek says.
Autumn cleaning is dedicated to everybody who wants to offer helping hand.
The organizers planned special didactic activities for children and adolescents, for example, Recycling, waste and recycling challenge where the winner will get a nice prize.
Last week, 176 participants volunteered to clean the Vltava River and its surroundings.
Let’s Clean Up the World, Let’s Clean Up The Czech Republic is a volunteer cleaning event that takes place across the Czech Republic (and even at a few places outside its borders). The goal of the event is to clean up the illegal black dump and mess. Together on Saturday, September 23, 2017.
