The 8th edition of the Wine Festival [Slavnosti vína] in Brno promises to take those who like wine and have a refined taste to a different dimension.
The Slavnosti vína Brno event brings the best local wine and burčák (sweet, fermented young wine) to the city center.
Wine lovers cannot miss the degustation of wines and local products. The Wine Festival can boast with 400 different kinds of wine from 24 national winemakers. Eva Skácelová, the event organizer, confirms: “All producers are from the Czech Republic, most of them, especially winemakers, from Moravia.”
What is better than wine? The combination of wine and snacks prepared from fresh farm products; from the salty French fries and grilled meat to the sweet French pancakes and cake slices. “The reactions of people are very positive, the event has become a tradition and is popular,” Skácelová adds.
As a good remembrance of the event, you can take handicrafts home. Local artisans will be showing their pieces of work at their stands, such as original jewelry, artistic wood artwork, toys and many more.
The event combines the art of appreciating wine with lots of joyful folk music and artistic performances. During the festival, you can expect an involving, great environment with a lot of interaction between performers and visitors.
