Brno, Oct 6 (BD) – Yesterday, the right-wing extremists from the movement Fair People [Slušní lidé] displayed naked photos and phone number of Matěj Hollan, Brno Deputy for Transport, in the streets of the city.
The placards placed on the Koliště and Gajdošova streets and other spots in Brno provide the deputy’s number and advise people to call him to ask for transport information.
Police are investigating the case. “It is not possible to exclude committing an offense against civil cohabitation, ” Jakub Ghanem, Brno police spokesperson commented for Czech daily Brněnský deník.
Slušní lidé has been included in the list of neo-Nazi extremist groups by the Czech Ministry of the Interior.
The group writes on their Facebook “Yes, it’s extreme. But at a time when people are tired and blind to the shame of city management, we needed to attract their attention…”
The transport situation in the city has been negatively affected by reparations of roads and sewerage systems.
The frequent closures of the busiest traffic hubs such as Křenová or Koliště streets cause long delays and traffic accidents.
Official transportation statistics show that Brno is the city with most serious and fatal road traffic accidents per capita in the Czech Republic.
