Prague, Oct 9 (CTK) – Czech police have leveled accusations against Andrej Babis, chairman of the government ANO movement, and his deputy Jaroslav Faltynek in connection with a 50-million-crown subsidy drawn by the Capi hnizdo (Stork Nest) company, ANO spokeswoman Lucie Kubovicova told CTK today.
Babis, billionaire who was finance minister from 2014 to mid-2017, and Faltynek, head of the ANO group of lawmakers, deny any wrongdoing.
“I have received the [police] document about the launch of prosecution over the would-be Stork Nest case. I immediately applied for a remedial measure to reverse the decision,” Babis has written to CTK.
Faltynek disagrees with the prosecution either and he, too, is going to file a complaint against it.
