The new theatre group B.E.S.T. Divadlo (Brno English Speaking Theatre) is holding auditions for its inaugural productions. The first production to be presented is the Czech English-language premiere of “November” by American playwright David Mamet, a recipient of Broadway’s Tony Award and the Pulitzer Prize for Drama.
The auditions will be held on Wednesday, December 13, from 7 pm to 11 pm, at Janáček Academy of Music and Performing Arts in Brno.
The play tells the story of a horrible American president running for re-election, and the casting roles are:
- The President’s Chief-of- Staff (top advisor).
- The President’s speechwriter (a lesbian with a very heavy chest cold, who wants to marry her partner) – female actor needed.
- The Public Relations director for the American Turkey Growers Association.
- A Native American who is committed to assassinating the president – male actor needed.

Rehearsals for the show start in January with a late February opening scheduled.
