New Year’s Eve warm up!
Brno Wintercamp (link) (Dec 28, 2017 – Jan 2, 2018) gives you the opportunity to spend New Year’s Eve in a CouchSurfing mindset. Wintercamp is organizing a week long New Year’s Eve party – international participants will enjoy cultural activities during day and themed evenings at night.

Folk Marathon 2017/18 in Brno (Dec 29, 2017 – Jan 2, 2018) gives you a great reason to dance, play music and meet friends – either old or new. 3 Days Megazouk Session II. – New Year’s Eve! (link) (Dec 29, 2017 – Dec 31, 2017). If you like to dance, KC Babylon is preparing a three day long Zouk “marathon”. Depending on what is included in the ticket, the prices vary from 400 to 1900 CZK. Register here.
AC/CZ, Czech revival of the American band AC/DC will perform on December 30 in Metro Music Bar. AC/CZ will play their best interpretations of AC/DC. (link). Admission fee costs between 130 and 150 CZK.
Goodbye 2017 Hello 2018 with Musica Balkanika, hosted by Balkan Bar, is determined to warm you up for the beginning of the new year with strong Balkan rhythms. Musica Balkanika is a group of musicians from Balkans and the Czech Republic. Drinks will also be discounted at the evening. You can find more information here.
December 31 & New Year – best party in Brno
Silvestrovská párty – 10. výročí Clubwash (link): The last evening of 2017 with the music of DJ Brno. Clubwash has prepared a special edition of the PubQuiz for the New Year’s Eve. If you enjoy Hip-hop, the 11 Club has prepared a themed party focusing on RnB, Hip Hop, Afrobeats and Latino music – Happy New Year’s Eve Party – RnB Hip Hop Afro Beats. Fleda Club is organizing a lively Silvestr 2017 (link) party, with a program that makes the most of three stages with house, drum & bass, electronica and techno music. There will also be a midnight toast. The event starts from 10 PM. Pre-sale ticket costs 170 CZK, and same day tickets are 250 CZK.
If you are looking to spend the last day of 2018 in a cultural environment, Brno Daily recommends you the New Year´s Eve Lake of Swans (link), that will take place in the Mahen Theater. Beside the Ballet performance of Swan Lake, you will get to listen to the jazz trio Three of Spades, the legend Laďa Kerndl and the great trumpeter František Procházka. After midnight you can dance to DJ Schafff’s music. Refreshments and champagne are included in the ticket price (from 1305 to 1450 CZK). Tickets available here.

Bassproof New Year’s Eve at Faval brings together three foreign guests, full bar and drum & bass. The stage will be taken over by German Neonlight, Hungarian Su Su and AnatomiX. The party will be preceded by warm-ups in Vyškov, Brno, and Moravské Budějovice. The tickets can be found for 250 / 300 CZK. If the drum & bass does not suit you that much, you might find your spot in Exit Club Brno for Acapulco evening along with the beats of techno, house and tech-house. For something totally different, taking you all the way back to 1930s, put on your mafia-style outfits and come to the High Five bar for a Silvestr noProhibition Party. If swing with a dash of electro is more of your thing, Sono Center’s Electro Swing Silvestr party is the place to wave 2017 goodbye. It will combine a cabaret atmosphere with a live band, DJs from Electro Swing Bohemia, burlesque, unique boylesque show and more.
