One castle and dozens of delicacies and specialties from the entire country. Visit a food festival at Veveří Castle to taste the most exquisite Czech traditional dishes this Saturday.
Whether it’s outdoor snacking or weekly shopping on your to do list, come to Veveří culinary market – a bustling place and one-day home to expert butchers, cheese makers, farmers, and producers. The organizers promise to bring all tastes of the Czech Republic in one place. Over 72 stalls will be at the event.
You won’t miss any Czech specialties ever again. Cooking workshops and shows will help you learn to prepare your favorite Czech dish and correctly use the traditional ingredients. Learn step by step from the best professional chefs. For the youngest visitors there will be a special playground, kid’s theater and fun activities such as face painting or a school of grill for kids…it’s a food festival after all.
Do you like challenges? Join the vegetable peeling competition or dumpling and cabbage eating contest; have fun and win a prize. Concerts and castle tours are scheduled for the event. Veveří food fest has it all; food, drinks, music, and loads of fun.
You can get to Veveri Castle from the city center by tram 1 or 3 to Přístaviště stop and then take the ferry at the lake.
