Brno, Jan 30 (BD) – In the beginning of this January, the Brno Communications Company a.s. (Brněnské komunikace, BKOM) installed six new cameras at the following intersections: Rokytova – Svatoplukova; Koliště – Milady Horákové; Nové sady – Poříčí; Karlova – Provazníkova; and Tržní – Hladíkova, Brnensky Denik reported. Brno municipal police manage the video surveillance.
The live streaming is public and free of charge. The drivers can check the traffic situation in the streets of Brno on the official website of BKOM.
The city company offers live streaming of cameras at fifty-two locations at the moment.
The video surveillance system is installed to monitor traffic conditions in the selected locations in Brno.
“Brno municipal police are authorized to provide these recordings (archived for 14 days) to the law enforcement and administrative authorities, or third parties with a valid legal interest; for example, an insurance company,” BKOM writes on its official website.
