Brno, Feb 19 (BD) – The annual Global Talent Competitiveness Index Report, a study conducted by the European Institute of Business Administration (Institut Européen d’Administration des Affaires, INSEAD), Adecco Group and Tata Communications that evaluates 119 countries and 90 individual cities, named the Czech Republic, Brno and Prague as some of the most talent competitive places in the world.
The Talent Competitiveness Index is assessed based on the parameters of enabling, attracting and retaining talented individuals, as well as competitive growth and global reach. In this year’s report (2018), the Czech Republic is considered the 25th most talent competitive country in the world, and occupies the 16th position in Europe. The Czech Republic scored 60.02. The study also named Brno and Prague as very competitive cities in the world to work in.
In the Global Cities Talent Competitiveness rankings, Brno scored 44.2 and ranked 51st, while Prague scored 55.2, now occupying the 25th position.
The country ranked highly in areas such as retention of talent (17th) and vocational & technical skills (19th).
Overall, the study concludes that developed and high-income countries are the most competitive and talented in the world, and found that Europe leads the rankings (15 European countries are among the top 25).
“Higher GDP levels naturally lead to higher technology penetration, creating ecosystems with better quality education, business, healthcare and infrastructure. This virtuous cycle leads to stronger talent competitiveness,” reads the INSEAD official website.
Switzerland maintains first place (79.90 points), followed by Singapore (78.42 points) and the United States (75.34 points), while cities such as Zurich, Stockholm and Oslo lead the way in talent competitiveness.
According to INSEAD’s website, this year’s Global Talent Competitiveness Index (GTCI) report focused on understanding how the development and implementation of competitive strategies can attract and retain talent while contributing to the growth of the countries and cities.
