As every year, residents of Brno are called to pay local fee for municipal waste collection due to May 31. The regular fee is 670 CZK per resident; reduced fee 500 CZK is for children up to 4 years and seniors above the age of 70.
Why should you pay on time? After the deadline of May 31, 2017 there will be a penalty of up to three times the price of the actual fee.
The municipality encourages the citizens to send money using bank transfers in order to avoid long queues at the cash desk. Τhose who wish to make their payment in cash can head to cash desks at Šumavská 33, bulding A, 9th floor. Note that credit cards are not accepted there.

Foreign nationals who reside in Brno are obligated to pay the fee, too. It applies for expats who reside for longer than 3 months or have registered residence in Brno.
