“The seventh annual VeganFest festival will show the public that the vegan lifestyle is not only animal-friendly but also healthy and entertaining,” the organizers write on the official event page on Facebook.

VeganFest 2018 features lectures, workshops, a sports show, concerts, tasting of vegan food and more. “The lectures are open to both the public and the growing Vegan community, especially from Brno and its surroundings,” the official website of VeganFest reads.

“We respect events that are primarily based on vegan food, but VeganFest has been, is and will always be primarily about lectures and their information value,” explain the organizers from Brno activist group Kolektiv pro zvířata.

To mention just a few festival events: Tuesday, March 3 – Cooking Workshop. This year, Cocina Perdida, the Brno mobile kitchen, will show you how to cook a tasty and simple vegan menu at home. Location: Místogalerie na Skleněné louce. Time: 6pm – 8pm.

On Friday, the popular venue Bajkazyl features Vegan social evening. Organizers write: “Indulge in your culinary art, meet new people and taste their vegan dishes. The event has the traditional and natural format of tasting food and exchanging recipes, meeting with friends and acquaintances, and getting familiar with people of similar and different philosophies. Even non-vegans are, of course, welcome to the event.” Time: 6pm – 10pm.

At the time publication, this year’s program had not been finalized yet, and changes and refinements will continue. You can check it on VeganFest’s official website.

Entrance to the festival (except concerts) is free of charge or for a voluntary contribution.
