Brno, Mar 22 (BD) – After a nighttime collision between a car and a tram, the driver is in the emergency unit in hospital. According to the police, the driver ignored the red lights at the crossing, Czech Television reported earlier today.
Two professional units of the South Moravian Fire Department (HZS JmK) assisted in the accident. In the collision, the tram was derailed, spokesman of the South Moravian Fire Department Jaroslav Mikoška explained in a press release.

“Firefighters secured the scene against a fire outbreak and helped to get the driver out of his vehicle. The tram driver was also treated by the medical rescue services,” Mikoška said.
Czech Television offered a video made by one of the witnesses of the accident on its Twitter feed.
