Brno, Mar 28 (BD) – The sewage and water systems under the public area of Slovanské náměstí will undergo extensive work in the month of April.
In coordination with the sewage and water supply work, the company INNOGY, a.s. will replace a gas pipeline. Subsequently, a full-scale renewal of the road layers and adjacent sidewalks will be carried out by the city company Brněnské komunikace, a.s.
On the streets Chodská and Ruská the sewage and water supply systems will be revamped over the same period.
In total, there will be approximately 1,600 m of sewage pipes replaced and about 1,500m2 of roads paved, Jitka Fraňková from Královo Pole Town Hall writes in a report from the beginning of March.
During the construction phase on Chodská and Slovanské náměstí, a replacement public transport service will be provided.
The replacement bus transport between Šumavská and Berkova, replacing trolleybus line number 32, will run on Štefánikova and Palackého třída, Fraňková specified in the official report.
Bus number 67 will run on Purkyňova Street.
Renata Hermanová of Brno Waterworks and Sewage Systems (Brněnské vodárny a kanalizace) said that the work will be finished in mid-2019, according to the local Czech daily Brněnský deník.
