Brno, Apr 16 (BD) – The ferries of Brno Transport Company have made their way across Brno Lake for the first time this year. Boating fans were able to enjoy their first ride across the lake for free. In total, more than 800 people watched the opening ceremony of the summer boating season on Brno Lake, according to the official website of the City of Brno.
Passengers can avoid the lines at the box office and buy tickets at new ticket vending machines on the docks (Přístaviště), the city announced on its website.
Brno City Transport Company’s fleet consists of six boats: Leipzig, Vienna, Utrecht, Dallas, Stuttgart, and Brno. From April to October, DPMB provides regular service from Brno – Bystrc to Veverská Bítýška. The zigzag route across the lake from Bystrc ferry terminal to Veverská Bítýška terminal is approximately 10 km in total.
