Brno, May 18 (BD) – Municipalities are evaluated on the basis of 23 criteria which fall under two main categories: the business environment and communication with public administration.
205 municipalities and 22 Prague municipal districts participated in the 2017 survey, the 10th year that it has been conducted.

Brno ranked highly because of its high share of entrepreneurs in the local population as well as for its high number of small and medium-sized companies. Brno is also lauded for having “excellent transport accessibility” in the official press release.
Last year the city of Pelhřimov won. Brno did not place among the top three in the 2016 results.
