Every summer, Brno Expat Centre (BEC) holds a wonderful event for expat families in Brno. Are you coming? Photo: Lipka
Spending time outside with the ones you love the most does marvels for your soul.
This summer, BEC, the Lipka organisation and Brno Daily invite you to celebrate nature’s most beautiful creation – familial love – in Lipka’s charming facility for environmental education at Jezírko (map).
The venue, near a small lake, is helpful in giving “children a hands-on approach to learning, and stirring their emotional attachment to forests and wildlife through activities which focus on stimulating the sensory perception of nature”, according to Lipka’s website.
The event takes place on Saturday June 9, from 10:30am to 13:30pm.
But to make your arrival easier, you’re welcome to come to the terminus of tram line number 5, Štefánikova čtvrť, at 10:00am, where you can catch bus number 57 at 10:15am (which runs at 20-minute intervals) directly to Jezírko.
During this event, children aged 5 and above can take part in some group exploration activities led by a guide. Meanwhile, parents and younger children will be able to stroll down a relaxing educational trail on the grounds. The entire area has been designed to be accessible to parents with children in prams.
To finish, drinks and refreshments will be served and you will have the opportunity to explore Jezírko and its surroundings at your own pace.
To take part in this event, you must register here.
Note that the price to participate in the programme is CZK 60 for children and CZK 30 for adults, both to be paid upon entrance.
Children who are signed up will get a small gift, and there will be complimentary refreshments for those who sign up by May 28.
