Brno, May 23 (BD) – Strawberries – red, juicy, sweet! Many people enjoy eating fresh strawberries as the season peaks. You can buy them at the supermarket, your local grocery store or at a roadside stand, but many people enjoy picking their own strawberries at South Moravian ‘pick-your-own’ farms.
Do you live in South Moravia and want to find fresh strawberries? At these farms, you can enjoy the opportunity to select the fruit that best suits your taste – less ripe or riper, the choice is yours.

Strawberry season lasts for about a month over late May and early June, so you can plan several trips to enjoy the fun.
The South Moravian region is home to numerous places for picking strawberries. Even if you do not want to pick them yourself, it is worth making the journey, as many farms offer strawberries ready to buy by the basket.
Prices for fruit that you pick by yourself are around CZK 40 per kilogram, or around CZK 55 per kilogram for strawberries that have already been picked for you. Some farms offer “share deals” – if you pick and purchase a certain quantity of fruit, you can get a share of what you picked for free.
