Citizens had until May 31, 2018, to submit project proposals. For a proposal to be considered by the city, it had to reach at least 300 “likes” on the website, www.damenavas.brno.cz, or be submitted with a paper petition signed by at least 30 citizens. The municipal authorities are currently evaluating all the proposals, and the results will be known on September 30, with the final vote by Brno citizens to take place from November 1-22, 2018.
Last year, 16 projects were selected for further development. The three most popular winning projects were the pedestrian and bicycle paths from Žebětín to Kohoutovice, the community and leisure centre at Kraví hora, and Holedná Lookout Tower.
